Which new Wordsearch resources would you like to see first?

I really hope that you'll get the Interlinear Bible done. I realize that Reverse Interlinears are available with various translations, but this is a critical missing resource for more serious Greek or Hebrew study, at least for those of us who haven't yet memorized the entire biblical vocabulary along with all of the various parsings of those words.
I like to work with the Greek NT open and the Interlinear available for the (many) times I need extra help. Until this one resource is available, I'm not able to leave Wordsearch behind and still do what I want to do in study.

Of my WordSearch resources that are currently "In Progress" or "Not Started", here are the ones I would most like to have access to in Logos in my order of preference:
0:4501 Disciple's Study Bible
0:69 Life Application Study Bible (1)
0:729 Life Application Study Bible (2)
0:347 Adult Questions for LESSONmaker
Concerning the Layman's Bible Commentary Vol 1-12 (0:6850 to 0:6861), correct the migration so they are each listed in the format of "Layman's Bible Commentary Volume x: book A thru book B. When I prioritize one of the volumes, all volumes should come over as a series; but they do not.

Strong's talking Hebrew/Greek Dictionary would be great as it gives in depth knowledge to words for people like me who do not know anything of the original languages. it links with the KJV of the Bible which really helps study.
Thank you.

Please add “Treasures from the Scriptures” by Rod Mattoon
It is my main course at the WORDsearch Bible library and the one reason that makes me still hold on to it.

Ben and all:
Thanks for the great job you are doing on the WordSearch conversions! I am especially grateful for the library-migration personalized list that allows each of us to monitor progress. Please, if you are able to do so, prioritize all volumes of Swindoll's Living Insights New Testament Commentaries as soon as possible.
Thank you!

(1) AMG’s Complete Word Study Bible: New Testament (KJV) and (2) AMG’s Complete Word Study Bible: Old Testament (KJV). Logos already has these 2 resources, but only the grammar codes are IMMEDIATELY visible and NOT the Strong numbers. I use these 2 resources constantly, and in WordSearch I could IMMEDIATELY see both the grammar codes AND the Strong numbers.
(2) When I read the Bible, I like each verse to be individually brought out to the left margin, in the same way that the KJV was published. In Logos, even in reading the KJV, I cannot see how to do this. Logos does not seem to respect the individual preference of the reader in this manner. If there is a way to display Bible verses in this manner, please tell me because so far I have not been able to find how to do this. For me personally, this is a very basic preference.
I loved WordSearch.

I would like to see the Interlinear Bible: Hebrew-English Interlinear Old Testament and the Greek-English New Testament. PLEASE!

You can fix this. I am not good with screen shots, but we'll try it.
At the top of your Bible is a triangle with 3 dots. Click on it and it brings up visual filters. Click the Bible Text Only Box, and then the drop down arrow next to it. Then click the box next to one verse per line. Then you should see the shift in your Bible to bring each verse to the left margin.
Post back here and let us know if you were successful. There are people with much better skill at screen shots than I have. My dialog boxes go away every time I right-click green shot to take a picture.

Carla, thank you so much. Got it. Your explanation was excellent, so you didn't even need any screenshots!. Quite frankly, being used to WordSearch, I'm finding Logos quite overwhelming.
In an effort the return the favor, I save screenshots by (1) Press the Print Screen key. (2) Go into Paint. (3) Press Ctrl and V (in other words, paste whatever is on the clipboard into Paint). (4) Save your Paint file. Once you save the file, you can then do whatever you want with it. Hope this helps.

I have always liked the Bible Reading Planner because of the options it gives. Every month I email it to people. Also, I have always liked the interface and layout of it. I don't know logos that much which is my own fault for not paying more attention to it. I feel Bible Works folded because of Logos and now Wordsearch is gone. Who will be next?

I am so glad you were successful. I would play with the visual filters a lot and determine what you like and don't like to see. The Quick Start videos in your library will give you more insight into how they work. I am always changing mine, depending what I am trying to do at the time.
Thanks for the hints on screen shots. I use Green Shot at work, so that is what I try to use. Same principle. Right click on the icon, highlight what you want, save in paint. Only problem is drop-down and dialogue boxes go away when I right click on the icon.
Have fun, Carla

Still us Wordsearch until I can figure out if Logos has a "Lesson Maker" with book choices. Really been hard ... blessings.

I would very much like to have The Complete Bible Library available in Logos. It’s Hebrew and Greek dictionary format in WordSearch is exceptional and valuable tool for deep research. Fortunately Logos already has The Complete Word Study Hebrew and Greek dictionaries. Adding the Complete Bible Library is an essential component for rounded textual analysis and study.

For me, the Hebrew-English Interlinear Old Testament. I use it all the time and find it much more accurate than most interlinears. I have yet to assess Logos's own Hebrew-English Interlinear.

Hello I would like to have the Rod Mattoon Series. Thank you.

I'd really like to see the Holman Christian Standard Reverse Interlinear Bible brought over as soon as possible. It was my "go-to" interlinear. [H]

ESV refs, NASB refs, HCSB Xrefs, Treasury, Strongs's Talking Concordance, Theological Dictionary of the New Testament, Practical Word Studies of the New Testament, and the following Commentaries: Expositors Bible Commentary, Lenski Commentary, New American Commentary, Exegetical Summary Series. I have not migrated my WordSearch account yet, so I may be requesting things that are done. I use the Search function multiple times each day and remain hopeful Logos has a similar function.
Thank you for asking. I have been using Wordsearch for over 25 years and have an extensive library. While I am aware that Logos is supposed to offer good software, this is a stressful situation as I am quite familiar with Wordsearch. The idea of learning new software at this point is not terribly exciting to me.

Hi Chuck - and welcome to the forums

Logos does have a reverse interlinear for the HCSB
And, checking the status of books being transitioned from Wordsearch to Logos it looks as though this is the intended solution.
Does that make sense?

HI Joe - and welcome to the forums.
Most of the resources you mention are available in Logos:
- Theological Dictionary of the New Testament - https://www.logos.com/product/8491/theological-dictionary-of-the-new-testament-tdnt
- Practical Word Studies of the New Testament - https://www.logos.com/product/45620/practical-word-studies-in-the-new-testament
- Expositors Bible Commentary (original and revised):
- https://www.logos.com/product/20185/expositors-bible-commentary-revised-edition-rebc
- New American Commentary - https://www.logos.com/product/177651/the-new-american-commentary-series-nac
- Exegetical Summary Series - https://www.logos.com/product/197853/exegetical-summary-series
I believe if you go to https://www.logos.com/wordsearch/library-migration you should be able to see the status of your books in terms of their status of being available in Logos
Joe Dellaria said: I use the Search function multiple times each day and remain hopeful Logos has a similar function.
Logos has a very powerful Search capability.
When you do start using Logos, please feel free to post back with any questions you have about using this, or any other, aspect of the software

First of all may I say how poorly Logos compares with Wordsearch. I find that my main gripe is that there does not appear to be the automatic link to Strong's when in Bible mode. This was one of my most used functions in Wordsearch, so I trust this will be resolved rapidly.
My other points are as follows
1. It is very difficult to find a book in the library. In Wordsearch they were arranged in categories which made searching much easier - can you not do the same?
2. The Pie charts are not helpful since they are not easily linked to Strongs and do not even tell you all the words - just give slices with no explanation. Can you not label each slice with the Strongs' number as well as the word?
Altogether I find it much less user friendly than Wordsearch and wonder why we have to change.

I would love to get "Christ Centered Exposition." I used this commentary with my Bible studies.

Hi - and welcome to the forums
L Rieder said:First of all may I say how poorly Logos compares with Wordsearch
I'm sorry to hear this. But I would suggest raising issues of this nature by creating a separate thread in this forum so your concerns don't get lost in a thread of this type.
Some quick responses:
L Rieder said:I find that my main gripe is that there does not appear to be the automatic link to Strong's when in Bible mode.
If you link a Bible to a Strongs Dictionary - https://wiki.logos.com/Linking_Resources - then clicking on a word in a Bible (assuming it has a reverse interlinear) will update the Dictionary to the relevant entry
L Rieder said:1. It is very difficult to find a book in the library. In Wordsearch they were arranged in categories which made searching much easier - can you not do the same?
The faceted browser in the Library window is intended to provide this sort of functionality. Does this give you what you are looking for?
L Rieder said:2. The Pie charts are not helpful since they are not easily linked to Strongs and do not even tell you all the words - just give slices with no explanation. Can you not label each slice with the Strongs' number as well as the word?
The emphasis in the Bible Word Study Guide - and the key linking mechanism in Logos - is the lemma and not the Strong's Number.
Clicking a segment shows where the lemma has been translated with that specific word. What specific problem is caused by the lack of a Strong's Number
L Rieder said:Altogether I find it much less user friendly than Wordsearch and wonder why we have to change.
I am sorry to hear that and, as a user of the software, I have no insight into the commercial reasons behind the transaction. I do understand that you are able to continue to use the Wordsearch software although I don't believe it will continue to be developed.
