Nifty and Niftier (Clippings in Sermon Builder)

The Sermon Notebook integration into the Sermon Builder is a nifty tool.  What would be even niftier is integration of a Clippings tool the same way, so Clippings could be imported the same way Notes are.

I haven't really played around with notes in the Sermon Builder. I really need to check it out.

Faithlife plans to eventually merge Clippings into Notes.

That is a nightmare scenario. That would take the most useful true research tool, one that still operates simply and transparently, and merge it into the most confusing and frustrating part of the entire software package.

Lord, I pray this doesn't happen.

On the other hand, you would be able to import Clippings in the exact same way that you can import Notes now.

I think that it would be immensely helpful to have a note entry on a verse or topic and be able to attach (via anchors or other methods) other verses, clippings from resources about the verse, diagrams, images, maps, canvas, charts, etc.. all contained (or referenced) in one searchable note. It would kind of be like OneNote or a personal factbook entry for that verse that would be linked to the target that I could build over time. I was so hoping this would happen for 9.  I am really hoping we see this sooner rather than later!

I see notes and clippings as so closely intertwined (remember the old 3x5 cards that had both?) that it is ridiculous to have them separated. I can see where people who were not trained using them interchangeably could have a different view.
