We're thrilled so many of you love Logos 9. We're hard at work making it even better, and we'd love your feedback on some of the things we're considering for upcoming 9.x releases. (For those of you who are newer, we generally ship a new point release every six weeks.)
Please review this list and vote on anything you'd really like to see us prioritize over the next 3–6 months. This isn't everything we're considering. It's just some of the major themes I've seen bubble up so far through a variety of channels. We probably won't be able to get to all of this, so we want to make sure we're solving the most important problems first.

Thanks for giving us the opportunity to influence the priority of these projects! [Y] I've placed my votes.
I can't get the feedback forums to load. They start to show up and then everything goes blank. I even killed my firewall to no availEdit :remedied by logging in with social media, apparently logging in with was bugging it out on me
Ability to drag and drop items into a folder rather than right clicking then typing in the name of the folder. It'd be more intuitive to just drag and drop. Also right clicking on the toolbar to create a new folder would be more intuitive as well.
Allow folders to represented as an icon and show the name when hovering over like a resource to save on space.
Further improve/expand/fix Dark Mode:
This is a mockup for a black background:
The citations app is frustrating. I don' t know how it could have gone this long without fixing it.
The app has Logos cite the source when you copy and paste from a resource to another document.
It also takes every abbreviation found in the text and explains it in a footnote type of layout.
i.e. no footnote numbers but it gives line after line of explanations of the abbreviations in the footer of the page.
Why?
This needs to be separated into two separate functions. One for the source citation and one for abbreviations, if anyone actually wants to use that.
If there's anything else that you consider critical, please mention it below and include a link to the Faithlife Feedback suggestion.
When opening a resource in a blank layout, let us have it open on the LEFT: https://feedback.faithlife.com/boards/logos-desktop-app/posts/843

This may be the wrong place to mention this, and I do apologize, but I wish some of the guides/tools could be sold indiviudally (Lemma in Passage). I have been with Logos since 2.1. I have 5000+ books. I honestly do not need many of the tools bundled together. But I am very pleased with version 9 bundles and dynamic pricing.
It works fine for me logging in with my email. Weird.

Import third-party sermon documents into Sermon Manager Sermon Builder D/W
I assume that means being able to load non Logos sermons, now in, for example, docx format, into Sermon Manager or can that already be done?
[[Have not "played" with that toy yet.]]
I think this person is asking the same question:

I posted about this earlier in the week, but I'll mention it again to try to get more votes. Please modify Concordance or Word List so that it's possible to export a list of Greek/Hebrew words for a given passage with the following information in 4 columns: 1. lemma 2. lemma gloss/definition 3. root 4. root gloss/definition
It would be great if we could also export this 4 column list such that the 4 columns are grouped under the root for each lemma

Make Biblical People diagrams visible when using Dark Mode. You see the cartoon/figure but you can’t read the name underneath.

I'm surprised tables in notes isn't on the list as it already has quite a bit of support https://feedback.faithlife.com/boards/logos-desktop-app/posts/72
It's something I'm looking into, but I want to keep most of the focus for now on improving the Logos 9 experience. It's possible we could get to that, too. But I want to double down on the new and improved features first.

To be honest this list is a big miss for me, I don't care for Dark Mode and have no use for Sermon Builder or Sermon Manger which seems to the your major focus with a little bit of tweaking to Factbook experience thrown into the mix - And I undestand why it is a focus just giving my honest feedback on what I consider critical to how I use the software.
Don't get me wrong though Phil, there is lots to like about Logos 9, the team has done a good job this time around. Somehow though Sean's team needs to get better support to have more tagging done at release that supports new features. They do a fantasic job with what they have and the time frames that have to do things. So what i want most if for tagging work to be given priority if at all possible.

I rarely consider your statements flat out wrong but this time I do. Why?
I think three samples of each is sufficient to illustrate my view.
MJ I was referring to Factbook integration with the interface. What you refer to here is what I would say falls under tagging work that Sean and his team need more support to get done because I don’t know how to explain in the way you do. You are more in touch with details of this stuff than I am so no offence taken at your re-buff, we both want the same things, you are better at explaining it than I ever will be.
with a little bit of tweaking to Factbook experience thrown into the mix I rarely consider your statements flat out wrong but this time I do. Why? I don't think making the Figurative Language dataset usable with Factbook entries such as Figurative Language Related to Abraham tweaking. I don't think of providing a list of authors (with works in Logos) associated with a denomination tweaking. I don't think of providing a unified interface to linguistic terminology tweaking I do think of adding disambiguation pages as tweaking I do think of adding Key Articles as tweaking I do think of the Passages/Key Passages conversion as tweaking I think three samples of each is sufficient to illustrate my view.
It would be great if Factbook had a "Collapse All" option, like the guides.

Also, how about a live Word Count in the Sermon Editor? That would save me having to copy and paste the text into BBEdit or Word to get an idea of my manuscript length.

Fix keyboard Shortcuts in editors!
In the sermon and notes editor the keyboard shortcuts don't all work, at least on Mac... I am not sure about Windows.
Cmd+. Doesn't make a bulleted list.
Cmd+/ Doesn't make a numbered list.
Some shortcuts work and many don't. Logos support says they should work.

Most definitely these are top priorities for me (especially the icon).
Also with the drag and drop, don't forget the drag OUT of the folder. I even noticed that Mo Proctor in his webinar video, tried this by force of habit, and it didn't work so he ended up having to click to open and then drag the resulting panel!!
I'd also like the Logos Icon in the tool bar to become the home button.
I have a small screen on my laptop and space is a premium for me!
Thanks for asking.

Hm. Maybe you could share some more info? I have only a not-so-new and not-so-high powered Win10 machine and it works like a charm:
maybe it's your internet connection? Obviously this feature lives in the cloud.
I cannot imagine switching between dark mode and light mode often enough for resetting it to be worth much time at all. Adding more details to the Factbook visual filter is key for me because, in my opinion, that is the killer feature for new users to see the power of Logos, comparable to the quick start layouts we got in 8. I do wish it were less cluttered, like a toggle option to only show the first time a unique tag occurs in a pericope. But that is just nit picking.
Let me say first that I am enormously grateful that Logos added authors and series titles to the commentaries, even though I spent months doing it myself.
It seems that Logos has now locked these new titles so that they cannot be changed by the user.
I would like the ability to continue being able to modify book titles.
I have at least one title that runs off the page, so I don't know who the author is. With that title, I can think of half a dozen possible authors.
Also, many abbreviations are not immediately apparent to me. BKC, NTTTC, GNTC, ACNT. I'm others feel the same.
No big thing though.
Thank you
I just tried it again and putting images into a note seems to be working now. Last night images were hanging and not being inserted no matter how many times or where I was getting them from. I tried images from Faithlife Study Bible, images from my hard drive and images from Unsplash. I tried putting images both into notes and into the Sermon Builder and neither was working. Perhaps it was my internet connection but I didn't notice a problem with anything else I was doing, including watching some MP seminars training videos on using images in notes. I wonder if it could have been a problem with Faithlife's servers being taxed at the time? I did restart Logos today, so maybe that could have been an issue too?
You can still edit them in the Library pane as before.
If you customize the series name in the Library pane, that custom series name will trump the abbreviated series, which is what's giving you BKC, ACNT, etc.
I had edited all the commentary titles. When I open the information panel, it shows my edited titles but still shows the new title. So if the new titles show up, and my information panel has my versions of the titles, how can I change them?
When I open the information panel, it shows my edited titles but still shows the new title.
What still shows the new title? If you edit the original title, you won't see it anymore in the information panel (except in the bibliographic data).
The library shows all the titles that I created. the information panel shows the titles I created. The passage guide does not.
How can I change the titles, when every way I can change them already shows that I have?

A little late on this one.
The Guide will show Series names in preference to titles or abbreviated titles. If there is no series name it will prefer abbreviated titles e.g. BKC. But it will also abbreviate a series name e.g. NAC, EBC, TNTC.
So all your work on titles will only bear fruit if a book has no series and you like the abbreviated title (you can change that if you don't like the one assigned by FL). If you don't like the series name, change that (make sure you do it for every volume in the series).
Hi all
I am a Wordsearch user now a logos 9 silver user. Really like it. The preaching mode needs to operate in windows without going to a browser. Though I figured out how to preach from the app in sermon builder by going from edit to text and sizing the window and using a mouse. Also touch needs to be present and you need to make a surface pen work in sermon builder as well while its on my mind. I use a surface book 2 while I preach and it works great.
Jack Tenney
Would you consider this pretty fundamental challenge with making the text you are studying central in the application? https://community.logos.com/forums/p/195814/1135723.aspx#1135723

Hi Dave
I'm a little unclear on your answer.
I have commentaries that have revised editions that now show up side by side in the passage guide and I don't know which is which. The EBC set has multiple authors per volume and in some cases individual books were revised by the same author and in some cases the books were by different authors. I had all that in my titles, and that is now gone.
You say I can change the series name? But I have to change every volume in the set? And if I don't, it won't take? The latest volume of the NICOT, they write out the full name of the title instead of an abbreviation. That takes up the entire space, doesn't finish, no author or book title given.
thank you

You say I can change the series name?
Let me concentrate on this issue, as it illustrates what I stated above.
In case of Tyndale (Tyndale Commentaries), I changed* the series name of the older volumes i.e. Tyndale Originals. This avoids the confusion of abbreviated series names (TNTC/TOTC) for duplicate volumes in the Guide. Further, I changed* the series name of the other commentaries to avoid the TNTC/TOTC name altogether e.g. Tyndale Commentary.
The Revised EBC Volumes come with their own series name, but they get the same abbreviated series name (EBC) as the original series. To avoid that, change* the name of both series.
* select each volume in Library, click the Information icon, and change the Series name.
I've changed the name of every commentary I own, but with L9, they brought their own names, and I see no way to change them. They are already changed in the information panel, but the changes are overridden by Logos.
The Passage Guide will display a variety of Series names, but single-volume commentaries will be identified by Title or Abbrev. Title (if there is one).
If you don't like the Series names or abbreviations, you can give them your series name:
I'm looking at the EBC as per your paste. The EBC shows up in my passage guide with no distinction between the old or revised edition. In the information panel, even the abbreviated title has the distinction. So I don't see any point in trying to change anything in the information panel.
Larry
If your EBC shows up as per my first screenshot, what you are seeing is an abbreviated series name, NOT a title. So you have to change the Series name in the Info panel (second screenshot), and that will provide the distinction in your passage guide.
I have the NICOT set. It is abbreviated that way in my passage guide. Their latest volume is on Amos, and the series name is not abbreviated in the passage guide but it has has name I gave it in the library.
I changed the series title for that book in the information panel, and it has no effect on the title in the passage guide.

Sounds to me like a resource-specific data/tagging error on Faithlife's part, but I don't have that resource to investigate.
No, I think they just made the commentaries to have unalterable titles, and that's just that. The old rules still apply to non Bible Commentaries.
I know this is going to sound like "Bah, humbug!" It's just sort of sad to me that I wouldn't use any of those enhancements.

It would be better to illustrate your Passage Guide with screenshots. . I'm concerned you are altering series names on individual volumes instead of ALL volumes in the series.
The NICOT series is uniformly listed as NICOT by FL. Their most recent book, Amos, spells out the entire name such that it doesn't fit in the space allotted, and so neither the book name or author is given in the passage guide.
I changed the one name in the series section of the information panel to match the rest of the books, and nothing happened.
Hey, it worked. I just see now that it changed.
yippee!
Now I see another book here, LW. What is that? Oh, I see it's Luther's Works, but the series title in the information panel already says that. So I don't see where changing that would do any good.
