Create Small Group Studies
Has anyone discovered a clean way to create small group studies? At present I still just cut and paste Scripture, quotes, etc... to a Word doc and send it out. If you have another method I'd like to entertain it please.
Gracias,
Luke

If you have the sermon editor you can use that. It is found in Silver and above Logos packages.

Luke, Have you looked at Sermon Builder as a way to create these studies? It will be useful for things other than sermons.

Sorry, I used the old term editor not the new term builder. Hope it did cause confusion.

I guess I haven't thought about using the sermon builder that way. I'll see what I can do there. I just wondered if there was a particular feature for small group studies. Thanks!

My very foggy crystal ball expects the addition of Wordsearch to add to the pressure to have a find/insert question function that is lesson oriented ... I would expect this to be added to the sermon builder rather than a duplication of most of it's functions.

Please expand on this MJ.
The Sermon Builder does support including Questions today. What additional functionality are you referring to?

Most Lesson Builders have some form of accessing the questions contained in study guides ... even the old Logos one had a catalog of questions built from a couple of series of lessons. I have asked several times for a tagging of the questions for access and gotten feedback to the effect that it was on the radar. I suspect that with WordSearch having a LessonBuilder, there is more pressure for it to move from radar to roadmap.

I’m not presuming to speak for MJ, just giving my own take on this Graham.
Wordsearch had LessonMaker software that allowed you to look through all of the study guides in your library and select questions from those guides to incorporate into a custom study. Most recent versions of WS had this incorporated into the main program but in earlier versions lesson maker was a standalone product.
In fact if you wind back the clock Logos Research Systems had a similar standalone product called Logos Lesson Builder.
And people were asking on these forums back in 2010 for that functionality to be included in Logos 4 when the stopped building the standalone Lesson Builder product. Even Morris Procter used to promote it on his website. So if MJ’s crystal ball is correct it’s back to the future and FL might finally address one of its most long standing user requests.

Wow! That's really interesting. I'd definitely love that feature for sure!

WOW! I did not come on board with Logos until Logos 5 or 6. I would love something like that back in Logos.

Speaking for me.... as one coming from WS... I believe most who come (don't know how many but at least 2?? or 3?? - lol) from WS would definitely want this feature as a lot of them used the feature they had in WS.
So, please, all you that have influence with Logos... influence them to put the feature back into Logos. Thanks

Right on! That's one of the things I liked most about WS. It was indeed antiquated. neglected software, but it did have a few neat features, like this one.
