Logos 8 Bronze --> Logos 9 Bronze?

I'm debating whether to upgrade at this time, and I'm curious as to what you think of the Bronze upgrade.  Did any of you upgrade from Bronze in version 8 to Bronze in version 9?  If so, do you think the added features make it a worthy upgrade?  I like the new features, but I'm concerned that not getting the full feature set might make it feel a bit incomplete.  For example, will I get good value out of the Factbook changes if I'm only on Bronze?  I'd love to hear from those who have made the jump.  Thanks!

    Might as well go up to Silver so you can get that free 1 Mobile Ed video.

    Bob, I didn't upgrade to Bronze as I wanted the full feature set, but each of our needs is different.

    With Bronze you will have MOST of the features you'd want and get most of what Factbook offers. There will be some datasets that you'll miss out on that eventually will be part of Factbook (eventually, because they are still under development). If you haven't done so, you can compare feature sets here

    It depends on what you already have (I have L8 full features), but for 9, Silver looks like the sweet spot. The Full Feature upgrade only has a few the Silver lacks, and for me at least they're ones I likely wouldn't use. Use the comparison tool here https://www.logos.com/compare/featuresets to see the differences laid out.

    I upgraded (downgraded?) to Bronze 9 from something higher in 8. It got me all the features I would use. I'm not a pastor, so I don't *need* the Sermon Mangler, but it looks fun to play with (so I asked if it will be available as a standalone purchase but no one has responded to that post).

    I'm happy with it, but my primary motivation was to spend as little as possible...I'm tired of throwing buckets of money at this thing to keep it up to date.

    You can always buy L9 Bronze and try it for a while, then upgrade later if you want/need more features.

    But if you upgrade features later will they not be more expensive when the release discount has disappeared?

    One thing that struck me is that there are resources included as part of the features section. For example the Lexham OT and NT Context commentaries and the new Lexham Research Lexicons which are included in Silver and not in Bronze. For some that may make a difference in their decision as to which package and feature set.

    I got the upgrad to 9 Bronze recently....as usual it seems ok.  Personally I don't need 10k of books with 50% public domain for huge sums of cash.   Seems to me that Bronze is worth the effort to get a max benefit at minimum cost.

    Another reason to consider Silver rather than Bronze is Carta. It's currently in pre-pub, but is downloadable today when purchased as part of a base package.

    Thanks to FL for including Carta and a Hebrew audio bible in Logos 9!

    Bronze seems just a filler level to push people up to the higher levels this time around in my opinion. You don't seem to get that much more value going from Starter to Bronze. You don't get any new features besides the upgraded Factbook until you get to at least Silver.

    Thank you all for your replies.  Like some of you, I want to maximize the features without spending too much.  Over the years I've tried different approaches to keeping up with the upgrades.  I had been a Faithlife Connect member for a year, but honestly I didn't use enough of the features to justify it, and I didn't like the feeling that I was renting my software.  So, at that time I went to a Silver package and got all the features.  Over time, I didn't continue to upgrade at the Silver level, and eventually ended up back at the Bronze level, which is where I've been for the last few years.  I generally find that the features at the Bronze level meet my needs, although I would like to get the new Counseling tool and a few others, but I'm not sure they're worth hundreds of dollars more.  I think I'll go with the Bronze upgrade, see how I like it, and move up if necessary.  In the past I've been underwhelmed by the Factbook, so maybe the enhancements will convince me to move up.  Thank you again!
