Summary of text term search options:

All the major constraints that can be placed on a text term in a search argument have now been introduced. Please let me know if I have missed any, no matter how trivial.

Common entry considerations

text

Single word text term. May be in any language and script.

(default)

Intra-word punctuation is considered; Inter-word punctuation is not

“phrase”

Multiple words in quotation marks

Bradley Granger noted: that the comma operator is supported inside phrases:,,, "theology of the (new, old) testament"

h:transliteration
a:transliteration
g:transliteration
s:transliteration

Hebrew, Aramaic, Greek, and Syriac may be entered in transliteration which will be converted to original language script/spelling as a search argument

German:text
French:text
Italian:text
Portuguese:text
Spanish:text
English:text

The text may be tagged as being in a particular language using standardized language names.

Wild cards (use is discouraged as performance is poor)
