BUG: Dragging a Word Document to the Shortcuts bar
The following procedure no longer works in Logos 9 on macOS:
Creating a Shortcut for a Word doc
- You can create a shortcut to a Word document in Logos:
- Open Window’s File Explorer, or macOS Finder, so that it is on top of the Logos window, and its toolbar is visible.
- Locate your file and drag it to the Shortcuts bar.
- If you click on the new shortcut, Logos will open the document in the Word application.
- This method would also work with documents from apps like Excel and PowerPoint.

And unless things have changed, if you can't drag to the SC bar, you can't drag to Favorites. I haven't tested that, yet.

I can't contribute regarding MacOS, but on Windows 10 the feature still works: I can drag a Word document from the desktop or the file explorer into the Logos 9 shortcut bar (or into the favorites, for that matter), an icon will appear to indicate the shortcut/link and when clicked will open that document in Word for me.

Interesting!! I just tried this, and it works! Yesterday I tried opening a Docx shortcut that had previously been in L8 and it was doing nothing -- hence my comment earlier in this thread. I would be interested to read of others' experience with DOCX shortcuts that were present in L8.
NB. Thank you for posting, I'm glad my new shortcut works as expected!

Logos 9.1 Beta 1 Mac OS 10.15.7
First time I tried this Logos crashed CRASH:Dragging Word Doc to Shortcut Bar
After restarting Logos, Logos did not crash, but the document would not stick on the Shortcut Bar either.
So I can confirm your bug.
As a matter of fact, I cannot drag anything other than Logos resources to the shortcut toolbar/

I've added web link ... drag to favorites and from favorites to toolbar.

As a Mac user, dragging any type of document over the Shortcuts bar from the Finder causes Logos 9 to immediately crash...every time. This happens even before the file is released onto the Shortcuts bar. Just drag it over the bar and, boom, Logos is gone...

You should add your post to this thread CRASH:Dragging Word Doc to Shortcut Bar
If you include logs, it will likely assist FL devs in locating the cause.

Cannot drag a Word doc from the Finder to Favorites either. It appears that it is going to stick, but flies away as soon as the mouse is released.
