Logos 9 Custom Reading Plan Creation Help... I'm lost!
I hate to ask this but I haven’t generated a custom bible reading plan before that I made myself. I believe I copied/pasted one from the wiki several years ago but I’m drawing a complete blank on how to do this. I also feel like I asked this before but I couldn’t find it if I did. I should also note that I read through the Wiki and Logos Help Manual and couldn’t find what I was looking for so I hope Logos could update that documentation in the future for this scenario.
What I am asking for help is how to create my own custom bible reading plan. Todd Chipman has a book called Scripture Storyline and it has a reading per day that corresponds with his commentary.
Here are my questions:
1) Some of his plan is straight forward but there are days where there are multiple readings and I believe the wiki mentions I should use a “|”? For example, Day 21 in February in 2020 was Deut 12-15 and Ps 119.137-144. Would I put that down as Dt 12-15 | Ps 119:137-119:144?
2) How do I separate these days when I type up the plan? The wiki has both commas and semi-colons… does it matter?
3) Once I have the document typed up, how do I import it? Is this done through the generate a reading plan option? Can I just copy/paste what I have into the reference range or do I need to create a passage list and import that? I would think creating an entire bible passage list would melt my mac.
- On a related note: I tried to create the plan from the wiki titled: “Old Testament in Tanakh sequence” but I couldn’t make that into a passage list… How would I create that one?
i. Ge-2Ki, Is, Je, Eze, Ho-Mal, Ps, Pr, Job, So, Ru, La, Ec, Es, Da, Ezr-Ne, 1 Ch-2Ch
4) How do I put breaks into the reading plan? When I look at his 2020 plan, he doesn’t have readings on Sundays so how would I tell Logos that I don’t want a reading on a certain day or interval?
I know this is a lot to ask but any help would be appreciated. Especially if FL could make a better manual for this, I would greatly appreciate it.
Thank you in advance
