Find word in a verse twice
Please help me with a search to find verses containing a word twice or more
(ie verses containing "Jesus" more than once)
All help much appreciated.

You can do the search in Greek or Hebrew with an English translation next to it using the Morphological Query in the Docs menu as follows:
You can use the Syntax search, but it is more complex. There may be a way to create a search string in English, but I am not aware of how you would do that.

A bit less complicated might be a bible search Jesus WITHIN 50 WORDS Jesus :

Comparing our results also shows the different boundaries that Logos Search employs: Bible Search has verse boundaries, so it doesn't matter if I change the 50 Words to 1000. Morph Search disregards verse boundaries - I think that's why you opted to go for only 10 Words segments, but still your first hit in Mt 1:25 has the second "Jesus" close, but in Mt 2:1.
Now verses and chapters aren't part of the original. If the task wasn't to find Jesus 2x in 1 verse, but Jesus twice within the same grammatical structure (~sentence), then one would need to go for Syntax Search.

John should have used 1 Verse as the Span - then the results agree with the Morph Search (using lemma:Ἰησοῦς in SBLGNT).

Syntax Search in SBL version has 61 passages where Jesus occurs 2x in a Sentence (which span up to 7 verses). The results are ambiguous when restricted to Clause or Phrase (because of embedding).

This thread intrigued me so I wondered if I could construct a generic search that would pull all words that were repeated twice in a verse. I selected parts of speech to take "trivial" words (articles, prepositions, conjunctions, etc) out of the picture.
For some reason, this doesn't pull duplicates of "Jesus" even though SBLGNT codes his name as a noun. Is this a bug, or am I missing something?

- Click the 'Exists' line below Word 3, so it disappears i.e. it does not exist. Then try the search with Ἰησοῦς in the lemma line of Word 1.

I would like to work with Mike's Search. I am not up on the syntax search or the Greek versions.
Could someone please give me a full example? All help much appreciated.

Thanks Dave - I was still looking for a more-generic search but when I unselected "exists" below word 3, Jesus showed up! [:)]
My results jumped from 863 to 4,759. Apparently since I also had "Agree on Lemma" selected my original results were a word that appeared 3x in a verse.
When I unselect the third word, the 2x results show up, but also provide additional/spurious hits when the word appears 3x. For example, in Matt 1:2, "ἐγέννησεν" appears 3x, but the results have 2 hits: one for the first two hits, and one for the last two. It does not count the first and third as a combination.

"Full example"? It would be better if you stated a Search that is not possible in normal Morph Search.

...and in fact for "word 2" all the part-of-speech selections are redundant, since it has to agree with lemma.

Because I'm a bit rusty on Morph Query, I missed that you must also deselect "In Order" for Word 3 i.e. the first two words appear in order, but a third one can't be present even if it agrees on lemma.

Suggest creating new threads for questions. Also may find Faithlife group => https://faithlife.com/logos-syntax-search has a number of shared Syntax Search documents that can be freely copied.
