Sermon Builder doesn't allow bullet points within styles

The bullet point formatting options seem to be mutually exclusive with the style. Thus it is not possible to mark something using the blockquote, illustration styles which includes bullet points. Anyone found a work around to this?

You can type your own bullet within these styles (Option 8 on a Mac, don't know on Windows).
For my use, the blockquote and illustration styles have no value to me, because they can't be adjusted. Blockquote and Illustration styles make the text gray; I don't WANT gray text, and I would also like them indented to a greater degree. At least the Prompt style is orange, and that catches my eye.
