Logos 4.0d SR-1 Crash During Start-Up

Hello,
I was running Logos 4d SR-1 on my notebook computer without any issues. I had to uninstall the software to move it to a different location on my hard drive. My notebook is running Win 7 Pro 32-bit, all patches up-to-date. I am using it now to type this report.
I also upgraded my Logos 4 base package on another computer (a desktop running Win 7 Ultimate 64-bit). I followed Method 2 in the Wiki instructions found here: http://wiki.logos.com/Quick_Installation_onto_multiple_computers
After I migrated the files from my desktop computer to my notebook, Logos 4d SR-1 crashes whenever it tries to display the main front page. The top of the Logos page shows fine I think. When I start Logos while holding the CTRL key, and check the box "use blank layout," the program does not crash.
I've attached the crash file here.
Thanks,

David,
Are you running Logos 4 as an Administrator? If not, right click on the Logos 4 icon, choose Properties, select the Compatibility tab and check the box to run as an Administrator. Submit the log if it crashes again opening normally.

Hi Mark,
I tried running it as Admin, but it crashes when I maximize the software window. When I launch it, it tries to display the Logos informatics but fails.
Actually, Logos should open normally without specifying Admin. As stated, I had no problems running Logos 4d SR-1 on my notebook, before I upgraded the base package and migrated the files to my notebook. Meanwhile, Logos 4d SR-1 is running fine on my desktop computer. Go figure. I might have to uninstall Logos on my notebook and download the whole thing...I prefer not doing it this way because it takes hours to download and index.
The crash error is the same I believe.5123.Logos4Crash2.txt

David,
I will submit your log to development for review and will update this thread when I have more information. Since you can open Logos to a blank layout, wait until you've heard back from me before uninstalling.
Thanks,

The error is the same.
Googling the error (WebException) points to a .NET problem (of which there seem to be many). Best to let Melissa get back to you at this point.

Hi Melissa,
Sorry about this...I have already uninstalled from my notebook. It is very possible that I had skipped this step - signing in - as mentioned in Method 2 of the Wiki instruction. "Quick Installation onto multiple computers." At this moment, I am repeating Method 2 to see if Logos will work this time. I'll update this posting soon...

If it continues to crash after reinstall, the developers suggested deleting the home page cache for today. The location of that folder on your notebook would be (if installed to same location as in crash log):
\Program Files\Logos4\Data\nc0onjlu.erz\HomePage.

Thanks for checking Mark.
Update: I repeated only a portion of Method 2 and, without file transfers, Logos launches OK. I sign in and no crashes. Continuing with Method 2, I transfer all the files from my desktop to my notebook, to the specified locations, and when I launch Logos, it crashes. The error is the same.
As before, I can launch Logos when I check the box "Use blank layout" and then click "sign in".

Melissa,
I deleted the folder with today's date, located in the ...\HomePage folder. Logos still crashes and the error remains the same.

Melissa,
Got a question: Will Logos download both my original base package and the one I had recently updated ? Or, will it only download my original base package?
thanks,
David

Logos 4 will download all resources it knows you have a license for on their server.
