Android won't sync

I get a red exclamation mark when I try to sync my Android device (Logos 8). Related(?): when I open on my desktop version the book I last read and made Notes in on my Android, the desktop version crashes. As long as I don't try to open that book, desktop is stable...
Hints? Suggestions?
