My logos software opens to the Home page and that's about as far as I can get. When I type a phrase into the command line and hit return, the programs shuts itself down, when I open my library I can search for a resource but am unable to open it. Does anyone have any suggestions for fixing my issue? I called support last week for a separate issue, but though I'd try the forum first for this one.

Background: Last week when the program auto-updated, my computer apparently installed the windows update instead of the mac one to my computer (info from the lady working the support number) which crashed my software. This problem was remedied quickly though

You say you are typing in your citation into the Command bar. Are you referring to the bar to the right of the three primary icons (Home/Book/Magnifying Glass)? That is not where one usually does searches as you are doing. That is for opening resoures for which you know the name of, or other tools. Try the same search in the bar next to the Go button on your Home Page.

If the latter is how you are searching and that I am just unclear due to your nomenclature, then please verify that is the case.

Meanwhile I'll look at your logs. Are they from immediately after your crash? If not could you reproduce and post those ones?

1. I've tried typing into both the command (beside the Home/Book/Magnifying Glass) and the search bar (beside the Go box)

2. When a Bible verse is typed into either box the program crashes whenever I hit the return key

3. I've tried using words that aren't verses, ex. fig tree. and I am directed to the search page.

4. The program then freezes

5. Summary: Bible verses crash the software and search phrases freeze it.

6. The logs were taken immediately after a crash

Though the HomePage search bar is not meant for words, it is meant for verse citations, it should not be causing the program to crash. I'll post a bug with your logs and see what development says.

I'd suggest typing "Rebuild index" into the command bar and letting the indexer run overnight. It seems you've got a corrupted search index.

I have just finished rebuilding the index and the software is up and running good as new. Thanks so much for all the help
