Searchfunction does not work

After a Computercrash I have installed Logos 8 afresh, successful, but: The Searchfunction does not work anymore. Example: No matter which word for being searched for, no matter weather OT or NT or Pauline Epistles and so on, it finds nothing. Always "0", not a single scripture will be found.

Hello Jens, sorry to hear you have issues. What you describe sounds like the indexer didn't finish - a blue little dot should show in your L8 near the top right corner of the application window, having a number in it, and when hovering over, one of the messages showing would be alike to "Logos 8 is indexing". In this case you'll need to wait until it's finished (depending on the speed of your hard disk, this may take hours - leave the computer running until it's done).

Maybe the indexer process crashed due to an error - starting L8 again with the Ctrl-button pressed invokes logging. Grab the logs (in Windows this would be from the folder C:\Users\YOUR_USERNAME\AppData\Local\Faithlife\Logs\Logos , put them into zip file and post them here.
