How do I make my custom highlighting palettes more visible?
Joe Farage said:Currently I've duplicated several of them so I can add other styles and change some of the pre-existing ones. Whenever I go to highlight or look at them, all the default palettes show at the top though. Any ideas to get around this?
Levi Durfey said:But the way I worked around it was to put my most important palette at the very bottom of the list (by adding "Z-" to the name). The reason being is that I can scroll very quickly to the bottom of the list without having to hunt for it in the middle of the pack.
Also, note (if you haven't already) that you can assign shortcut keys to your most important highlights so that you don't have to even go to the palette to use them.
How do I adjust pane size?
Gregory Lawhorn said:Then I resized the left-hand column, and it unevenly sized the two Bible panes (the ESV on the right shrunk, but not the NLT on the left).
John Fidel said:That is how I always remember it behaving. If you double click on the divider the software will try and even out the panes, usually taking a few tries to get all the panes effected.
How do I highlight individual characters?
Liz Rentner said:A suggestion is to put two color highlights onto one word - for example, DOING I want "DO" in brown and "ING" in yellow. Because it helps to see the present and past tense clear for Deaf people.
You can also hold down the Alt key (or Option on Mac) while selecting to temporarily override the selection behavior.
How do I get character level highlighting in a visual filter?
Liz Rentner said:I would like to make this two colors on visual filter so I can separate two colors "call" in brown and "ed" in yellow.
JT (alabama24) said:That isn't possible and isn't likely to be a feature. Logos doesn't tag individual parts of words, which is what would be needed to drive that request.
Kevin said:The closest you could get would be to create a highlight with the main text at 20%, then text before it 'call' with one colour, and after 'ed' with another colour, but unless you can find or create an extraordinarily thin font, there will be a slight gap in the text. Parchment is quite thin, there are likely thinner. I used orange as the yellow is not that readable on the white, also I don't think it is brown.
There may be limitations on the visual filter I am not aware of, but seems to work.
How do I preserve search highlights in a Passage list?
Vincent Gombert said:Is there any way after doing a Morph search to save the results as a passage list but preserve the highlights which are in the results into the passage list so the relevant words can be identified? As an example the following search where I need to identify the Aorist in the passage list.
<LogosMorphGr ~ VAAI3S>
Dave Hooton said:.you can save the Search as a Favorite (drag the Search tab into Favorites).
How do I get new paragraphs in Copy Bible Verse?
John C Hamilton said:I can't figure out what code to add to get this style to start new verses with a new paragraph.
Graham Criddle said:I think the following gives you what you are looking for
%NoCitation
=ForEachVerse
<p>[FullVerseRef] [VerseText]</p>
Justin Gatlin said:I would do it like this if you want individual verse numbers:
%NoFootnotes
%NoCitation=Header
<p><b>[FullPassageRef] ([Version]) </b>
=ForEachVerse
[VerseNum][VerseText]
=Footer
</p>That gives me:
Jude 20–21 (KJV) 20But ye, beloved, building up yourselves on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Ghost, 21keep yourselves in the love of God, looking for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ unto eternal life.
And like this if you don't:%NoFootnotes
%NoCitation=Header
<p><b>[FullPassageRef] ([Version]) </b>
=ForEachVerse
[VerseText]
=Footer
</p>If you don't want the translation short title, just delete ([Version]) from either.
How do I find the Bible Books Explorer?
Chuck Forsythe said:On what menu do I find this tool and what is its name?
The Bible Books Explorer should be findable in both the Tools menu and the Library by entering its name into the "search" field in either place.

Steve Shelton said:When you click on a word and do Facebook, you get information about the word. The question I have is the usage. For example Noun Usage. Under it several scripture references are usually listed. Is this just a short list of places where it is found? (see below)

The references listed (in this case) are all the available instances of this sense+lemma combination. We also list a snippet of context in the original language (Greek here) in an interlinear view (only English and Spanish; other languages do not have the data available to support the interlinear view). Don’t worry, the interlinear is customizeable and you can turn off the gloss line if you’d like (using the aleph/omega button in the toolbar). The context given in the snippet is based on propositional data from the Lexham Discourse Greek New Testament. We select appropriate example references to list based on an analysis of Important Words data.
So it looks as though the verses shown are appropriate examples and not intended to be exhaustive.
How can I track unreleased resources I own?
Pater Noster said:Is there a way to see/track resources we have purchased in upgrades that have not shipped yet?
John Fidel said:Go to Logos.com and browse all books then select owned and select prepub in the left menu. That should show all the "in progress' books that you own through your L9 base package purchase. It will also show books coming from Wordsearch if you are part of that group.
I have found some are already in my library, but it should be a starting point.

Yes: if you "Prioritize" Thayer's in the Library, it will appear on the Lookup context menu.
