Verbum Trojan Spy
Performed a new install of Verbum. When I tried to run the software zone alarm shut the software down and is treating it as a trojan spy. Why is that and what can I do? The Trojan is described as Win32 Recam

More likely to be a Ps139 tracker.
(I do hope somebody actually gives you a sensible answer and I pray that Logos hasn't really been compromised)

We scan our binaries with multiple virus scanners before shipping them.
You can upload the file to https://www.virustotal.com/gui/home/upload which will probably confirm it's a false positive.
(In my personal opinion, not speaking officially for Faithlife, third-party anti-virus software is a waste of time and money. Cancel your subscription, uninstall it, and use the built-in Windows Defender instead. Interesting.. I have both logos and verbum. Logos installed just fine no false positives with zone alarm. Verbum I can no longer open up because it shut it down. They are both essentially the same software I would think. I installed both last night fresh. I can confirm I get the same result when I use that website to test the logos.exe file

so I would say Zone Alarm is wrong ;-) ...can you change it to save there?

I am not sure I understand the question

If a Programm say (like Zone Alarm) this File has an Trojan...it normaly gives an Oportunity to say no it don't have a Virus and you can put in the a save List and don't look to it anymore.
For Viruses in my understanding they take an .exe to the File...so it should namend verbum.exe.exe. But if you downloadet it from Logos than Logos would be the one who sent you an Trojaner and this is just possible if there Server is hacked or thery are bad Guys.
So my Gues is, cource Verbum (Logos) can touch your Computer Zone Alarm thinks it must be an Trojan
I have the Windows own Virus Program since Win 95 and never had a Problem with Virusses.

Virus scanners are imprecise: they may incorrectly identify a legitimate program as malware or (less likely) not identify a known virus.
VirusTotal analyses the program you upload with 70 different virus scanners and reports the results. If 1 says it's malware, but 69 say it's OK, then odds are that that one report is just wrong, and the program doesn't have a virus (as reported by the other 69).
Usually there's some way to override your virus scanner and approve the program that you know is OK. These instructions might help? https://download.zonealarm.com/bin/inclient/ZA_HelpCenter/71685.htm
