The version of The Roman Martyrology contained in Logos/Verbum is "The Roman Martyrology. Edited by Benedict XIV. Revised Edition. Baltimore: John Murphy Company, 1916."
This is basically the public domain version translated by Cardinal Gibbons. There is a more current one, in Latin. A new edition comprising an 844 page volume, with a 147 page index, listing 6,500 people who have been beatified or canonised up to 2004, was released by the Vatican on 4 December 2004, but an authorised English translation is yet to be published.
What might make this newer version of value, especially to priests, is the inclusion of the additional saints, especially all the Old Testament saints that were added after the public domain 1916 version. As such, this may benefit priests who could celebrate Mass with these saints as their Mass intention, as The General Instruction of the Roman Missal mentions the option of celebrating, on weekdays in ordinary time, “the Mass of any saint inscribed in the Martyrology for that day” (GIRM No. 355.c).
Not that this information is not available now, but it could make Verbum, especially, more attractive to Eastern and Latin-rite Catholic priests/bishops.
