Factbook - confusing list
Hi all
I'm a bit puzzled by the results that I get when searching for some biblical books in Factbook, for instance if I run a search for Hebrews or Gospels I get results which include the biblical books.
However when I search for 1 Thessalonians I get a very odd selection. It includes seven links to short stubs about commentaries and no link a main article about the book.
The main article is available under Show all but it quite a way down the page under the Biblical Passage heading:
For this book it certainly seems like the list of top results needs better prioritization. Is there anyway to affect the FB prioritization from the user's end?

Thanks for the report. We do have an open case to make an improvement in this area. I'll add a link in the case to this thread.

SOP for Faithlife. Promote a big new feature which, upon scrutiny, is not ready for prime time. See Atlas, Theology Guide, etc. Now we wait months, maybe even years, for the feature to be fleshed out.

This sadly is the way FL works today. Tell users their being given something great. Dump it on them and let them find out for themselves it actually doesn’t live up to the marketing hype and then after that say it’s a work in progress we will finish one day. And now they have seen off two competitors- Bibleworks and Wordsearch there is even less reason for them to change their ways.
They are all about quantity rather than quality. Rather than produces good bible study software and resources they have their finger in every pie and want to build an empire, to become the Google of the Christian world.
Faithlife has become synonymous with promising much and delivery little because it’s all about pushing it out the door yesterday even though it’s not ready for production distribution.

Okay, this is spreading the griping a bit too far. By griping I mean presenting a case based upon unknowable "facts" and unsupportable generalizations. Let's put Sargent Friday and the Fallacy Hound on the case.
If you were not heavily involved in the testing of the New Factbook especially the Lists, you have no idea how much effort and thought was put into getting the "right results" in the top ten for the user. Among the moving pieces were (a) user library, (b) user interest (c) growing Factbook options. Yes, FL promised more than could be done even in two years of development but we gained a great deal and lost very little (although my griping to Sean re: semantic roles and error reporting may make him feel otherwise.)
Your wide brush complaint feels like a direct slap in the face of those who invested hundreds of hours of testing to ensure a workable tool that could slowly grow into the broader dream of what it could be. I can't speak for others, but I don't like having my face slapped. I have no problem with the identification of problems or inaccuracies that can be supported by verifiable facts or subjective judgments of usability. Please do continue to offer your honest, supportable opinions ... just leave the broad brush stuff off the page.

Bury your head in the sand all you like MJ this is how FL operates these days. Nit quite there is good enough for them these days because they are taking in too much, trying to be too much to too many sectors of church life. You are not FL the comments are not levelled at you or at any one individual persons efforts they are about how the company operates. They admit they push things out the door before they are ready, they admit the automate the creation of 900 resources and make no efforts to check if they are usable. So put your fallacy hounds away and open your eyes to the fact users are not satisfied with what FL is doing.

No matter how politely you ask, I can't. Those of us of a certain age follow Covid protocols and I live nearly a 200 mile drive from any significant amount of clean sand. However, thank you for reading why your comments feel like a slap in the face. And if you ask politely, I will admit to agreeing that FL has a very long history of pushing things out the door too quickly and underestimating the effort required to actual finish the project. However, there has been only one release that truly made me angry.
