Highlighting tool not displaying

Once I highlight a text and then I want to add another Highlight the highlight option is not available.

For example. If I bold a text and then go back to that same text and want to add an underline there is no option. I have to open the highlight side panel and do it from there.

I could do this previously. where did it go?

Sorry - I'm not quite sure where you expect the option to appear

Please explain further - ideally including screenshots.

I gather he meant the selection menu, which will appear on selecting text and allow to apply the five last used highlights. But for me, it works as I believe it should: when I highlight a text using the selection menu, e.g. with bold, move the selection away, and later go back, select the text again, then the selection menu appears again and I can apply another highlight, such as underline.

The first shot is without any highlights yet, but once I select "THE STORY LINE OF THE BIBLE" I now have the option to choose any recently made highlights or to open the High light tool.

The second shot is after I make the text red. What I wanted to do is to underline the Red highlight with a blue underline. So I select the red text and the option to open the highlight tool is no longer there.

That option is no longer available in L9. What I have to now do is select the highlighting option from Tools, select it and then it opens to the left of my screen/page...

I see what you mean - the option to open the Highlighting Tool from the popup menu has been replaced with the option to delete the highlight you have seleced.

I can see why this could be helpful - I don't know if it was a change between Logos 8 and Logos 9

I think we had both options before. One to delete previous highlights and one to add another highlight not displayed in the 5 previous one but another one that is found in the drop down highlight tool.

It's not a huge deal. What does it take to do a couple of extra steps. But I don't understanding taking away an option.

Well maybe they'll add it back.
