Factbook name pronounciation

I love the audio pronunciation feature in Factbook.  However, there are many exclusions.  Is there a reason for these exclusions?  Are there plans to complete this feature?

Today I was reading Zechariah 6:10 where Heldai, Tobijah, and Jedaiah are introduced and only Heldai's name is available with audio pronunciation in the Factbook.  This is one example of many, but it's interesting because they're all introduced in the same verse.

This is a quick bump to give the post more visibility. 9

Thank you - I'll do the same one time.  This is a top notch feature and I'd love to see it expanded.

I've just checked this and see the pronunciation option for each person - note the lemma needs to be selected on the left for this option to be offered.

Please check you had the lemma selected in each case.

For me (macOS 10.14.6), in FactBook only Heldia has the pronounce icon/button. For the other two (Tobijah and Jedaiah) there is no icon/button. You have to use the Right-Click context menu (and choose Lemma as you stated) to get the pronunciation button. You don't get that option from the FactBook entry for these two people.

And for those who do not know what is being discussed here are some pictures.

    The Right Click menu...

My apologies Graham, I know that you do not need these pictures.

This is comparing apples and oranges. Pronunciation of lemmas is a different matter from pronunciation of Biblical entities (people). The right click menu and Factbook provide identical access to the available pronunciations via lemmas, but I believe the context menu does not give easy access to pronunciations for Biblical entities like Factbook does.

    Lemma:

    Person:

Unfortunately, the pronunciation data for Biblical entities does not exhaustive coverage of all people, places, and things in the Bible. Tobijah (from Zechariah) does not have a pronunciation available, but Tobijah (from 2 Chronicles 17:8) does.

    Hi Andrew,

Ok, I "think" I understand now.

When I did my test I simply used the Underlined FactBook link to access both FactBook pages (Trying to be Apples-2-Apples). I did not use the Right-Click/Lemma/FactBook context menu choices. I really did not realize that there was a "Lemma" specific (?) FactBook page, I guess I figured (incorrectly as it turns out) that FactBook is FactBook is FactBook.

Thank you for taking the time to explain.

Thank you Andrew.  Also, thank for adding the graphics, otherwise, I doubt i would understand.  It's bizarre that there is audio pronunciation available for Tobijah in 2 Chronicles, but not in Zechariah.  Factbook expansion of audio name pronunciation is a feature I would love to see upgraded.  It's very handy...

Here's an interesting one I came across in my reading this morning.  Use the Factbook to look up Seraiah, found in Ezra 7:1.  I appreciate the audio pronunciation that's offered by Logos, but this is a bit like finding Waldo.  I wonderful feature that needs a nice upgrade.
