Assign a default notebook to a book?

Hi Folks:

I  create a separate notebook for each separate book  (right now Greek Gramars) that I am reading through. I like to take lots of notes. Currently I have x4 of them open.   The issue I have is that if I hightlight something and try to create a note Logos will always default to the current open notebook.

I'd like Logos to save all notes in a specified notebook for that book so I don't have to manually change to the correct notebook before highlighting something or having to change it afterwards.   I just wanted to make sure that I'm not missing something on how to do this.

Thanks,

Matthew

It actually depends on whether you are creating a note or a highlight.

If creating a note - by right-clicking on a word or passage - you can choose up to one of five notebooks from the context menu

If you want highlights to go into a specific notebook, you really need to set up a custom palette for each notebook.

I presume you are wanting to do both highlights and notes but I wanted to confirm.

    Hi Graham:

Thank you for the response.  Yes, you are right in that I was thinking both highlighting and notes.  Sometimes I want to highlight things in a chapter, then come back later and add notes.  If the highlighting could be set per book to use a folder that would be great.

Hmm... just wondering, is it possible to do a search of the notes by the resource (i.e. can I search for all highlighting/notes from a particular book?  If I could, then I guess that would make it easy to pull together highlights so I can leave notes....
