Please consider placing an option to allow the user to clear the search box.

I'd love it if hitting the tab key caused the text in the box to be selected, similar to how it works in bibles. Then you could either hit backspace or just start typing the new text.
In the meantime, Ctrl/Cmd-X will do that.
That actually works in all 'normal' resources, not just Bibles.
