There is an issue with citations that appears to be related to whether or not copied text is from the same window where the note is located, or whether the copied text is from a different window than where the note is located.

In summary:

- Copy from same window where the note is located = citation added successfully.

- Copy from a different window than where the note is located (ie: a floating window) = no citation is added.

My notes are always in a floating window, and the citation is created about 95% of the time. There is one scenario, however, when the citation never appears—Pasting text twice from the same resource. Citation appears on the first paste, but never with the second.

Previously, citations were not created for a pasted text if the note already contained pasted text, from the same or another resource. This may have been fixed in the 9.2 beta cycle, but I am not sure when it began working.
