Turn off Switch for Notes

I would like to see a "turn off - turn on" switch for notebooks. 

So I decided to add someone's public notes to my Docs. I would like to have the capability to turn off that notebook so that it's icons does not appear in my books.  I know I can delete the whole file, but I might want to go through the file and see what I would like to keep but not have the files icons show up in my books.

One file that I did download had icons just like my notes....  that's confusing.

I would like to see a "turn off - turn on" switch for notebooks. 

We can select / deselect individual notebooks - does this give you what you want?
