I am a new user: Logos basic package version 8.  It appears the downloaded Bible for IPhone is ESV from Crossway while on a Samsung laptop, ESV from Crossway does not appear to be available; only Lexham English Bible .  Is this finding correct or is ESV from Crossway available on both devices, since the information is stored on Logos hardware?  Thx

Hi Dennis - and welcome to Logos and to these forums

Logos basic package version 8.  It appears the downloaded Bible for IPhone is ESV from Crossway while on a Samsung laptop, ESV from Crossway does not appear to be available; only Lexham English Bible .

As per the product description at https://www.logos.com/product/168880/logos-8-basic, the Logos 8 Basic package contains two Bibles - the LEB and KJV. That is why you are seeing the LEB on your laptop.

On mobile, there are a range of additional resources available to use - but not download - including, I believe, the ESV which is why you see it on the iPhone

the information is stored on Logos hardware

It's not a hardware issue but licensing arrangements with publishers.

The ESV is available to purchase at https://www.logos.com/product/1587/english-standard-version and it would then be available on all your devices.

The Mobile apps are bundled with special resource licenses, so new customers who download the app can get started using the app without having to purchase anything. Those resources can be freely viewed in the app, but to use them anywhere else (such as on the desktop), you’d have to buy the resource.

The ESV is available for the desktop, but that app does not include any licenses. You’d need to purchase a base package or individual resources to be able to use them on the desktop.

Here’s a link to the ESV products you can purchase.

    https://www.logos.com/search?query=esv&sortBy=Relevance&limit=30&page=1&ownership=all&geographicAvailability=availableToMe&filters=publisher-2973_Publisher

Once you own a resource, it can then be used on other platforms (such as desktop, web, or mobile). You don’t need to buy it for each platform.

Thanks to FL for including Carta and a Hebrew audio bible in Logos 9!
