Question about Notes

I asked this question at the end of the A26 thread, but I believe it's gotten lost, so I'm creating this as a new topic. A moderator can feel free to delete the other copy so that it's not cross-posted.

Question-- I've never created any real notes in Logos/Mac before, but I watched the videos for the Windows version. So, am I correct in understanding that to make certain a note on a biblical text shows up in any different translation or original language title, I should create the note as a reference and not as a selection, right?

And if I create the note as a selection, it will only show up on that text that I created it in?

To my knowledge, you are correct in your assessment.

I just tested this using Windows and you're correct. If "Reference" is selected, it applies to all Bibles. If "Selection" is selected, it only applies to the selected text (not just the verse, even, but the specific subset of text within that verse that you selected).

I'm in the process of streamlining my electronic set of "marginal notes" among three separate Bible software platforms. My ultimate goal is to have the notes in all places, regardless of which application I'm using. This involves a good bit of copy and paste, as you might imagine, so that I'm not having to constantly retype content.

I realize the notes implementation in Logos/Mac is still in the early stages, but I wanted to request while it's still in development the ability to paste text without formatting (or "Paste and Match Style" as it's sometimes called). The common Mac keystroke in most Mac applications is Command-Option-Shift-V. I don't currently see any way to do this in Logos/Mac. This would be helpful in Logos to keep fonts and formatting consistent. Thanks.

This is also a need for the PC version, unless I've overlooked something.
