Hi!

I think I have found a bug in the new default serif font for Logos 9 that shows up when using a Norwegian Bible (Bibel2011).

This is a screenshot showing the missing double vertical bar (Mark 1:21): (Sometimes the boxes do not display, for example when I switch from the default Logos 9 sans serif font to the default Logos 9 serif font, not shown in the screenshot below)

This is a screenshot using the Logos 9 default sans serif font:

This new sans serif font in Logos 9 has fixed the larger line spacing found in the Logos 7 default serif font:

I hope the fix for the Logos 9 serif font also will fix the larger line spacing issue that was present in the Logos 7 (and 8) default serif fonts, fixed in Logos 9 Default sans serif font as seen above.

I reported this issue to cs@logos.com on November 9. last year, received this answer the day after:

"Dear Harald Aarbakke,

Thank you for your email. We appreciate you letting us know that there is a possible issue with our fonts.  I have forwarded your findings to our Content Team for further investigation into this.  We appreciate your patience as we look into this matter.  Please let us know if you need anything further."

After that I have heard nothing and the problem is still there in 9.2.0.0014.

Can anyone else confirm the font issue, and perhaps someone from Faithlife could take a look at it and confirm the issue and ensure that all the needed characters become available in the default font.

Kind regards,

Harald Aarbakke

PS. I also sent a report December 9. after version 9.1 was released, but I have not heard anything from Faithlife after that.

If someone from Faithlife could respond I would be grateful.

    Hi!

I can reproduce this in 9.2, but in the current beta 9.3 I'm not able to reproduce this. When we ship 9.3 to stable can you confirm if this is still broken for you?

This new sans serif font in Logos 9 has fixed the larger line spacing found in the Logos 7 default serif font:

I hope the fix for the Logos 9 serif font also will fix the larger line spacing issue that was present in the Logos 7 (and 8) default serif fonts, fixed in Logos 9 Default sans serif font as seen above.

I'll write up a bug report for this extra lines issue.

    Harold,

I want to make sure I'm using the correct Bible, could you go into the resource Information panel and copy/paste the Support Info? I just want to confirm that I was using the same resource you used.

i can confirm that in 9.3 the problem with missing double vertical bar is resolved for the default serif font. The problem with larger line spacing is still there. But the main problem is solved now.
