continuous notes
Is it possible to have one continuous note instead of creating a note book with multiple notes inside? something like a word document with multiple references all in one place.

Short answer: no. A note must be inside a Notebook.
Longer answer: yes, but you'll have to manually update a single note within a Notebook by copying and pasting. Any use of "Create a note" will create a NEW note inside the specified Notebook.

Just some clarifications. No, a note does not have to be inside a notebook. In fact, you do not have to have any notebooks at all if you do not wish to.
That being said, what is the use case for one long continuous note? It is definitely possible. You just keep typing on the same note instead of creating a new note. Any references you type will be clickable in the note but not anchored unless you assign an anchor. If you don't know what that means let me know.
I hope this helps but I'd like some clarification on exactly what the original poster is trying to achieve so I can help with best practice suggestions.

So basically, you want a scroll instead of a codex?
Like David, I'm curious as to why...what's the intended application?

I don't see an image.

Ok yes, that is just a matter of opening the same note and adding more to the bottom of the note. Or are you thinking something else?

yes, but in that example I posted came from a YouTube video and there was an option to add to a previous note you had created. Is that option still there? I believe this version in the image is version 8. And thank you for helping me sort this out.

I see the problem now. That is from the OLD notes system (pre-Logos 8). Now you just open the note, click in the note and start editing like a Word Document.

I don't want to see it in preview. I would love to be able to visually do what you have on the bottom image in a note. if possible

so if I am doing research there is no way to send all the information I am collecting to one note instead of the way it is now with individual notes. I want to able to append as I go and add thoughts if need.

As long as the note is open and has focus, you can type or paste additional content of your choice. I have notes that are several pages of Word long where I've not wanted to make a personal book out of an article.

I should have been clearer in my answer. You CAN make a single note as long as you like. You CAN'T use right-click to append to the end of that note. Everything must be done manually.
You could also go ahead and let Logos do its thing (which, in my mind, is more efficient), and then periodically copy and paste a series of notes into a single note, and then delete the rest. That might give you the best of both worlds

Thank you all for assisting with my inquiry. I will try all your suggestions and see if it helps my workflow. Again, I really appreciate the prompt responses, this software is new to me and I want to really take advantage of it to help my ministry. Blessings.

It's possible that I could live with Notes in L9 if they appear like what I'm seeing. I would still like to see a full screen pop-up preview (if needed) as opposed to the tiny keyhole that has been in force since L4, but this has apparently progressed enough that I could finally transition with some peace of mind. Still in L8, so I'll have to see after I move up. This is not as tidy and presentable as L3, imo, but it would save me lots of hassle if I can make it work.
Question/Observation: It would probably work satisfactorily if it were possible to click a tab in the note window that blew the note up to full screen as opposed to having a full screen pop-up preview. Talking about this kind of function:
This would be the normal input mode...
...and this would be the full screen presentation mode...
Is anything like this currently in force?
