Notes and Highlights and System Performance
What is the impact on system performance when creating Notes and Highlights?
I tend to go light on Notes and Highlighting thinking that my system will slow down when creating too many Notes and Highlights. I have also read somewhere that Visual Filters will slow my system down if I have more than a few on at a time. Logos is a very complex program and is doing so many things in the background and foreground that I want to be careful not to bog it down.
Also what about the Android and iOS apps, are they impacted by highlighting and notes created on any machine?
Any other tips on the topic?

It's difficult to quantify if there is any impact - I don't know how Logos would perform if I didn't have any notes or highlights.
I currently have around 15,000 and performance is fine.

Each Visual Filter does get loaded at startup time so any performance hit is likely at that point. The key thing is to try and ensure that they are "efficient" and don't include search terms that take a long time to run (the prime example of this would be using wildcards)

Notes and highlights are synced to the Android and iOS apps but, again, it's difficult to know whether there is any real performance impact.
Sorry I couldn't provide any more definitive information.
