Question about resource-specific highlighting across desktop and mobile

Full disclosure: I'm not even sure that "resource-specific highlighting" exists any longer. If it doesn't, then I can probably answer the question myself.

I purchased a new resource (monograph, though I don't think that matters). I do 99% of my highlighting in the iOS app. And I want all the highlights for this resource to go in a resource-specific notebook. What I was hoping I could do is configure that in the desktop app and know that it would be sync'd to the iOS app.

But I suspect the answer at this point is: You have to manually create that situation for the resource, meaning creating the notebook for the resource and then configuring the iOS app to use that notebook for the resource. And I can do all of that in the iOS app if I want. And further, once you've used the notebook once for a highlight, I could go back to "last used notebook" for highlights (whatever it's called) - which will be great until I highlight something in a different resource and that highlight goes into the wrong notebook.

So... Can anyone confirm what I think the situation is? If "resource-specific highlighting" still exists, how/where do I configure it? If it doesn't, is there a way that I can at least force a specific resource to always use a specific notebook without affecting what notebook would be used for other highlights in resources?

The setting is in the Highlighting tool. Palettes can be associated with a particular notebook using the menu (or right clicking) on the palette.

Thanks, Andrew. I am aware of that. But the only options I see are "Active Notebook" (meaning what??? - how do I know which notebook is active?), "No Notebook" (meaning what??? - what happens if I choose that?), and then a list of all my individual notebooks.

I don't think Logos intends me to have to make different palettes for different notebooks. I set up my highlighting palette probably 10 years ago, and I use it for all my highlighting - it never occurs to me to use different palettes for different resources. So I don't see how a palette helps me with "resource-specific" highlighting notebook management.

Any clarification would be helpful.

You can duplicate a palette and name it for the resource you want to use it for.

"Active Notebook" means the one you currently have selected in the Notes tool.

That said, as I'm thinking about it, I'm not positive how (or if) the mobile app works with these settings. You might want to ask that question in the appropriate forum for that.

That is what the settings is intended to accomplish. It's possible it doesn't match up well with your specific needs.

Thank you, again, Andrew. I will say I'm surprised regarding the intent for there to be multiple palettes to the point of a palette-per-resource. I'd be curious if anyone is using it that way. My hotkeys wouldn't work.

One more follow-up question (re. desktop): What does "No notebook" mean if I select it for a palette? I'm reading the help file. It says to "choose from the available options," but it doesn't explain "No notebook." If I select that, where are highlights stored? How would I manage them (e.g. if I wanted to move one into a notebook)?
