Does anyone know how to turn off automatic downloads on the logos 9 android app? Whenever I install the app it tries to download my entire library until my internal storage is full.

That suggests you have previously downloaded a lot of resources and the software is trying to restore the app to that state. Does that sound possible in your situation?

By default, the app only downloads resources when specifically requested.

Do you use the desktop app as well?

If so, open the Library window, then in the faceted browser on the left open the Devices section, make sure the Information pane is open on the right.

Select the device name for your Android phone, then select the resources you do not want downloaded. Then click the small arrow to the right of Downloaded in the Information pane and remove them from the device.

Please let me know if this doesn’t make sense and I can post some screenshots with more detail

Sorry Dan, I don't know. But if we were in the pub talking over a pint of beer and you told me that this was a problem my reaction would have been. "Wow who thought that was a good idea?"

And then I would have suggested that you double-check your settings.

[Coo! Look at that! Graham has a sensible solution. Again!]

Graham, thank you for your help. I do have the desktop version but mostly use the mobile app. I am away from home right now, but when when I get back I will try this.

Thanks again for your quick response. If I have any trouble I will let you know.

Glad it sounds as though it might help.

I've attached a couple of screenshots (against my iPad but it works the same on Android devices as well)

The Devices section enables us to select particular devices

Then, with that device selected, we can choose to remove downloaded resources (and once that has been done they should not be automatically queued for download again)
