Labels
Labels appear at this point in the list on the left side of the Context Menu. However, I have broken them out into their own chart for review which will be covered after the datatypes are complete.
Cultural concept
From Witthoff, David, ed. The Lexham Cultural Ontology Glossary. Bellingham, WA: Lexham Press, 2014.:
[quote]Baptism
Definition
A ritual of initiation into a religious community, often through the immersion of a person into a body of water, but also performed in various other ways through sprinkling, washing, or pouring water over a person. In some religions, blood may have been used rather than water.
Ritual
Organized ceremonial
Baptism
Substitute baptism
Factbook | Baptism
Search All Resources for "Baptism"[1]
The Context Menu for Cultural Concepts, lacks a link to the associated glossary which I have reported as a bug. It’s only link is to Factbook.Factbook for Baptism – Cultural Ontology is well-populated. The contents of the various section is similar to that shown for locust – Biblical thing.
Lexham Discourse Greek New Testament
The Lexham Discourse Greek New Testament datatype entry in the Context Menu provides a link to the glossary:
- Runge, Steven E. The Lexham Discourse Greek New Testament: Glossary. Lexham Press, 2008.
To understand the Lexham Discourse Greek coding, it is often necessary to understand the context. Therefore, I suggest turning the related Visual Filter on. Note that the filter provides significant detailed control.
Longacre genre
The Longacre genre datatype entry in the Context Menu provides a link to the glossary:
- Thompson, Jeremy. Longacre Genre Analysis of the Bible Dataset Documentation. Bellingham, WA: Faithlife, 2016.
Literary typing
From Mangum, Douglas. The Lexham Glossary of Literary Types. Bellingham, WA: Lexham Press, 2014.:
- Narrative, Gospel — (NT) A narrative focused on the life and teaching of Jesus.[2]
The Literary typing datatype entry in the Context Menu lacks any links:
