The Open Your Bible Commentary (OYBC)

In my WORDsearch library The Open Your Bible Commentary – OT & NT were/are operational as one complete book.
This means that if I was reading from Ps 119 or Matt 28 in the NIV or B4E and clicked to The Open Your Bible Commentary (OYBC) on the commentary part of my desktop, it also would automatically open at the same chapter and verse as the Bible part of my desktop.
What I have found, as The Open Your Bible Commentary (OYBC) is TWO separate volumes in LOGOS, often that in NT edition it clicks across OK.
However, if I am in an OT book I have to manually open the separate OYBC-OTPP, and then if I move to an NT chapter in the Bible either OYBC-OTPP sometimes disappears from my commentary part of my desktop or it decides to become OYBC-NTPP!!
This then means that I have two OYBC-NTPP in my books bar rather than one OYBC-NTPP and one OYBC-OTPP. I normally have both volumes side-by-side in my commentary bar on my desktop.
Please can you get this matter sorted, preferably by rolling both OYBC into one volume (as in WORDsearch), or by linking - 'LOGOSising' - the two volumes to work seamlessly together.
I look forward to receiving your reply.
Blessings
Peter

I am afraid that as a volunteer helper I cannot do this for you, but I might be able to point you in the right direction.
In order for volumes of commentaries to flow seamlessly they need to be in the same series with 'exactly' the same series name.
As a first step, you could make sure that your two volumes are in a series and that the series name matches.
If this does not produce the desired results it might be helpful to show us your prioritisation list.

It's probably the same with all commentary series in logos.

Or more accurately...
It's the same with all commentary series in logos.

Operational is the key word. It WORDsearch interface it appeared to be one volume but in reality there would have been two files. When Lifeway handed over the files for this (and everyother WORDsearch resource that appeared as one volume but now appears in multiple volumes in Logos), Faithlife would not have gone to the trouble to split single files into multi-files. They would have been given mutliple files to work with. Logos interface is not designed to give the appearance of mutiple files from the one set to appear as one volume to the user.
For them to be operational as one volume the need to have the same series name for each set in the volume as Mike explained. When Faithlife first converted these WORDsearch files into Logos they did so using a quick and dirty automatic conversion of them into ePub files that the Logos environment would recognise but took no care with links in the resources to scripture references and other books along wtih the formatting output by their automatic conversion software. It is quite possible metadata was also not well checked to ensure this operational linking betwen resources from the same set was not checked but then even with the level of checking scribes did with the biblical manuscripts they copied at times errors wer made so it may just be one of those sort of errors that crept into the metadata.
It is working fine on my system so it maybe that previously I fixed up this manually myself as Mike has suggested to you. The other thing I did note that will result in the OT volume not behaving as you would like that it is still in ePub format while the NT volume is now the full Logos Research format. I dont' know when the OT volume will get the full makover but I would have like to have seen FL do both of these volumes at the same time since they are a set.
