Hello. I am having an issue installing Logos 9. I have been using Logos for quite some time now, but today I tried to update the software and I kept getting a insufficient privileges error. I am the only user on my computer, so I am the administrator. I uninstalled Logos, and I still cannot install it due to this error. Can someone please help me because I contacted support, and they were entirely useless. I am currently on Windows 10 Pro. Thank you

Hi Lea and welcome to the forums!

Sorry to hear of your issues. Not sure if we really can do more than support - but it sometimes helps to spin some ideas around. Issues with updates we have seen, but fresh installs should usually go smoothly.

Maybe you can share something more about your system - are you installing on an internal or external drive? Which folder? What free space? Any logs from the installation - and are you sure the uninstall really cleared Logos completely, including all registry entries? Do you run any security software that blocks the install, such as Norton Antivirus or such?

Hello Nick. I am installing on an internal drive with 221 GB of space. I don't have any security software that is blocking the program. This issue began before I uninstalled the program. I purchased 2 books, and Logos did the indexing and I saw a notification to update. Every time that I tried to update, I received the insufficient privileges error.

Did you install as administrator? That can cause problems.

No. I didn't. I was able to resolve the issue. Even though I did it a while ago, I moved my Documents folder. I found an article that Logos published a while ago, which fixes this error. But the link to the article no longer works. I was able to find it using wayback machine. A simple fix, but Logos support refused to help me.
