Electronic Bible that Allows You to Write in the Margins

Some of the greatest spiritual truths I learned as a new Christian I wrote in the margins of my paper Bible. Those truths were internalized as I constantly saw those notes in the margins over the years, and I honestly miss that functionality in my new electronic bibles.
I have an e-pen that I use with my iPad, and I would LOVE IT if an app gave me the ability to actually write in my Bible - especially if I had enough room to make notes in the margins with something I could keep for years.
Anytime I'm at a conference or listening to a teacher that's making a really, really good point or illuminating a truth about a passage, I don't want to forget it, and this would help.
In addition to seeing it more than once when it's written in the margins, studies have also shown that writing something out by hand causes our brains to recall them more easily:

I'm a senior pastor with 20 years of experience. I have spoken with NUMEROUS other pastors and church leaders in addition to laypeople over the years who use electronic Bibles who I have personally heard say that while they like their electronic tools, they miss being able to take written notes in their Bibles.
Logos - I love your products. Please add this functionality!
Thanks!

Hi Wes and welcomed to the forums. What you are looking for I believe is what the notes tool is for. You may want to check this page out.

Hi Lonnie - I'm familiar with the current notes tool. That's not what I'm suggesting ... I'd like to be able to write with an electronic pen in the margins around the text ... not type in a box that's hidden unless I click it. I want to be able to physically write in my Bible with a pen.

Wow. It's a nice idea. I assume the best implementation would be in the form of image thumbnails, after entry. It'd be hard to coordinate multiple thumbnails, relative to panel-size of associated Bible. And FL really, really hates to smudge up their text panels.
But Wes ... smilingly, you're not doing your kids any favors. As much as our Dad's Bible note handwriting was a nice memory, converting to text for the next generation's edification was a super-pain. Again, smiling.

Could be done absent thumbnails with a wide-margin version of the NIV, for example, formatted for note space. It'd be a matter of setting margin space - could still allow for increasing text size, and could be used on a cell phones if separated in to two panes - one for notes and one for text.

Hi Wes!
You'll want to check out the "pencil" suggestions over at Faithlife Feedback. https://feedback.faithlife.com/search?term=pencil
If nothing is close to what you desire, you can suggest it over there also. That way people can vote on it.

Yep - I have a friend whose dad used some kind of shorthand for his notes. Now,neither she or anybody she has shared them with (including yours truly) can read them.
