Map Distance Feature buggy

Hi Logos team,

It appears when I want to check the distance between two points using the Atlas map in Terrain mode (using Logos 9) it doesn't work. I found that, as a work around, when I change the map to Flat it works fine. Then when I go back to Terrain it works again. I use terrain mode mostly in my studying and it defaults to that mode for me. wondering anyone else is having this issue and if so, can I submit a bug report to have it checked and fixed? Using Windows 10; latest update

Yes, here is a link to my thread on this bug

Thanks for sharing your workaround by turning off Terrain in maps!

I imagine that it might take some time to work out the extra distance to be applied if going up hill and down dale. The calculation on the flat would be simpler but less accurate.

Hi Mike. Unfortunately it didn’t even give me a starting point. It’s funny, when I switched to Flat mode, drew a line from point to point, then switched back to Terrain it worked. It’s just that it never starts when the map defaults to Terrain mode on startup. Thanks for checking back with me. 🙂

No problem Les, I am glad that you worked out how to get what you want.

It's not a facility that I use but would be interested to know if the distance is increased on the Terrain map to take account of the extra for the hills?

This has been fixed in 9.5.
