Update the ESV to ESV-CE so that it includes pericopes for the deuterocanonical books.

I don't understand this suggestion. The ESV doesn't include deuterocanonical books, so neither will its pericope set.
Are you actually asking for an ESV-CE pericope set to be added to Compare Pericopes?
You could put it that way - I wouldn't because I see no reason to have two ESV's in compare pericopes - one of the full translation is sufficient.

Sounds reasonable to me (at least if there are no pericope break / title changes in the protocanonical parts of ESV-CE from ESV 'classic'). It seems the Compare Pericopes tool could use some additional pericope sets, especially in the area of deuterocanonicals. If we're talking ESV, there's the ESV Apocrypha Lutheran Edition (LLS:APCRPHLTHD) to look for, too.

You can easily uncheck the one you don't want to see. Once the ESV-CE pericope set is added, the available options in the menu will be controlled by the resources you own. (The pericope headings are copyrighted content that is distributed with the Bible they were extracted from.)
No problem - contractual issues usually reign supreme in system implementation.
