I used the Topic Guide instructions to get some ideas for topics to enter into the layout because the term "topic" is become rare in Factbook pick lists. using Worship appeared to work but when I switched to Gnosticism, the link set failed to work.
I would not expect panel linking to work at all between MW and Factbook at all, since MW only uses headwords (and biblio milestones, which aren't used for panel linking), and Factbook doesn't make use of headwords at all.
I tested, and as expected, panel linking did not work in either direction with any terms I tried, including Worship or Gnosticism.
Since this is a Quick-Start layout, I assume you have a bug report? Note: when I first opened it it was not MW but All the Meals of the Bible in the lower right.
I do not. I'm still not entirely clear on what bug you are reporting. Do you have a customized layout? What did the layout look when you first opened it?

OK, then I'm going to need a better description of the problem. Can you tell me what you typed in the Go box, which option you selected from the list, perhaps include a screenshot of what panels were visible after the layout loaded?
I can't recreate problems related to the MW Dictionary or All the Meals opening via a Topic layout.

What one gets is dependent upon what you've last done.
The layout's link set is broken ... that is the bug. I suspect that the cause is changes to Factbook or that the layout originally pointed to a Topic Guide.
I did some testing. The only time it failed to navigate for me was when the resource in the lower right didn't actually contain the topic selected in Factbook.
It would help to know which resource you are seeing in the lower right, and which topic you are navigating to in Factbook. Is it consistent for a given topic, or does navigation work sometimes and not others for a given topic?
