ANSWER: Removing those pesky placeholders in Sentence Diagrammer

in v3 we could attatch words to the edge of the <|= img and cant in 4. picture will explain better...

please please allow us once again to attatch to the point of the line, as well as top as is current in v4

I would call this current rendering a bug...

OK its still a bug, not a placement bug but a rendering bug, I would suggest that visual rendering needs to hide the inactive placeholder/prompts when control is not active(yellow)

Further Update

its a pain, but have found you can move placeholders away and the delete them, still think they should be hidden if control inactive...

left click on the white circle and drag it away from the control, it can then be safely deleted

It's been a long time since I played around with L3 sentence diagramming but I played with L4 this week some. I tended to like the way things could be connected and separated. It started to really make sense for me when I selected Display>Handles.

Blue dots= grow and shrink

round circle = place to grab & move or join.

blue dots inside circle= joined objects

You can also join two blue dots together

Granted, I am not using the sentence diagramming to actually diagram a sentence but there are a couple things I'm working through. for instance in the following picture the word "the" below the circle cannot be joined to the circle because the line keeps wanted to take the focus of the handle.
