KYLE : I don't like it now that I've tried it
The distinctions between Bible Study/Study Guide/Workbook doesn't work at all for me - I need to know the author and publisher to guess which category something will fall under. Series are spread across the types.
I would strongly suggest that you reconsider these looking at the content rather than the whim of publishers. My suggestion (there are other reasonable proposals):
- Bible Study used for resources that are organized by scripture passages
- Study Guide used for resources that are organized by scripture topic
- Workbook used for resources that are on resources other than scripture.
Orthodox Bishop Alfeyev: "To be a theologian means to have experience of a personal encounter with God through prayer and worship."; Orthodox proverb: "We know where the Church is, we do not know where it is not."

I agree. Content lies behind my tagging system, so I don't worry about (existing/older) Types. It's possible that my tagging will not match the new Types, but working with content will bring them closer.

Study Guide used for resources that are organized by scripture topic
Why would this be limited to Scripture topics? (And how would you define what such a topic is?)

This suggestion makes sense to me and will be more helpful.
