Kyle: Please consider renaming these new Types

When using Type:

"Ancient Manuscript" will also catch the new "Ancient Manuscript Translation" (suggest "Ancient MSS Translation"). Those using type:Ancient have to make changes either way.

I also considered the new "Devotional" vs. "Calendar Devotional", but type:calendar will ensure differentiation. Changes, changes....

I'm not sure I understand where you are thinking of them being invoked. How are they different from Commentary and Bible Commentary or Apparatus and Bible Apparatus? or am I missing the point entirely?

I had a rethink before seeing your response, and used "catch" instead of "invoke" and decided new type "devotional" could be differentiated by changing existing type:devotional to type:calendar (rather than type:calendar-devotional). This is similar to your examples, except you are forced to use type:Bible-Apparatus (had you noticed that type:Bible is protected, as it will not catch any other Type with "Bible" as part of its name!)

"Ancient Manuscript Translation" is quite different because existing use of type:"Ancient Manuscript" is not protected. Hence the suggestion to rename the new type.

Calendar to me would refer to church calendars not devotionals tied to one of the secular or religious calendars -- so that would set well with me.

I personally see the ability to get both the texts and the translations but the use of a partial name an advantage -- several of mytags are intentionally setup that way. Nonetheless, I see your point and would remain neutral toward differentiation but would express a dislike for "calendar" as a replacement name.

That was a suggestion. "Calendar Devotional" is more likely to remain unique.

The bottom line is that "Ancient Manuscript" and "Devotional" are no longer constrained to a unique Type (as with "Commentary" and "Apparatus")

My argument to rename "Ancient Manuscript Translation" as "Ancient MSS Translation" has the 'benefit' that type:ancient would accomplish your goal.
