BUG: System Voice in "Read Aloud" (macOS 11.2.3)
As the user in THIS thread found out, Logos is not utilizing the various system voices on macOS. To reproduce, I tried the "read aloud" feature using the NIV. It played the voice I was accustomed to ("Alex" in macOS). I changed my system voice to "Siri Female (US)" but Logos still used "Alex." I then deleted "Alex," restarted Logos AND my Mac... but Logos still uses "Alex."
FWIW - I am using the M1 MacBook Air. With the iOS mobile app running on my Mac (very cool, btw), it DOES use the Siri voice.

Curious if this "Read Aloud" issue repeats using Lexham English Bible (LEB) with Audio New Testament so can choose Narrators
- Marv Allen
- System Narrator
Thankful for changing Accessibility => Spoken Content => System Voice to Fiona (Scottish Standard English)
FWIW: iMac 27" (3.6 GHz 8-core Intel Core i9) has Verbum 9.4 Beta 3 on macOS Big Sir 11.2.3

Replicated Siri (Female) - United Kingdom & Siri (Female) - United States voices not being usable in 9.4 Beta 3 on macOS Big Sur 11.2.3 while other voices sound fine.
Earlier thread => Bug: 7.13 Beta 1 Read Aloud speed ignores macOS Accessibility Speech preferred speed included:
Replicated a bit of voice bugginess using 8.14 Beta 3 on macOS 10.15.4 in the Lexham English Bible (LEB), which has an audio voice of Marv Allen option. Changing from Marv Allen to System Narrator causes System Narrator voice to be used except for any Siri voice. Changing System Narrator to a Siri voice caused consistent use of Marv Allen for Read Aloud in LEB. Narrator selection was effectively ignored (restarting application had no effect on voice).
Keep Smiling [:)]
