According to one theory, a present stem verb can be translated duratively / continuously with 'continue to ...'.
For example, this is done by the NIV in Gal. 2:10 'All they asked was that we should continue to remember the poor'. (see also Phil 2:12 'continue to work out your salvation').
I was hoping to find more instances of this way of translating a verb in the present stem, especially imperatives, and so I did a few searches, but they failed.
For example:
- <LogosMorphGr ~ VP??????> INTERSECTS continue (this doesn't even include Gal. 2:10, in fact it only returns hits where 'continue' is part of the lexical meaning of the Greek lexeme, NOT those verses where it is added to the translation).
- The same for <LogosMorphGr ~ VP??????> ANDEQUALS continue
Any help on how to perform this search would be welcome!
