I've noticed a new metadata field "Era" in some product descriptions. This one is from https://www.logos.com/product/190924/the-gospel-of-john-a-theological-commentary:
Is it possible to search on this field either on the website or in Logos? I tried on both with no luck. Is a plan for that in the works?
What are the possible values for Era? I can't search on it to find out other ones.
This is from our commentary tagging.
We'd like to make it searchable and facetable on Logos.com and in the Logos Library panel at some point.
Could someone explain what ''facetable'' means?
I'm going to guess it's a word that we can split "facet-able", so the facet menu will let us choose which era of commentary rather than just "commentary". But I'm not the pro here.
'Face-tables' aren't things!!?? English is apparently quite a difficult language to learn and this is a nice example.
Yeah, that was my first reaction, but the images that meaning inspires are, well, at least in my case, not very inspiring! [:)]
'Face-tables' aren't things!!??
Well, if you don't have your hands free, it could be a viable alternative for a face palm.

Thanks, Phil. Why is the Era in my example that started this thread off listed as "era:contemporary"? Isn't it redundant to have the name of the field as part of its value?
Great question. We're hacking our current trait metadata field for this, so it's really trait:era:contemporary. We need to overhaul our resource metadata API before we can add new metadata fields such as era, so this was our hacky workaround for now.
This is a display bug, though. era:contemporary as a value should be mapped to Contemporary as a display label. I'll report that.
Hi all,
since era is year determined, is there any way for logos to automatically tagg all PBs as well if they have a year added as metadata? I would hope this would work automatically.
