Most modern computers have multiple ”cores,” which allows for numbers higher than 100%
I am new at using a Mac, and I never saw that while using Linux or Windows. Perhaps MacOs just has a different philosophy then 🙂
The indexer is a beast though... it has come on a long way in recent years and performs very well indeed. I've been very pleased to see indexing times drop and resource utilisation increase both dramatically.
