spotty corresponding notes and highlights

this is the third time I have tried to post this. seems it disappears

for years I have had three Bibles open in three panels, Greek, English, Hebrew

for years I would highlight and add notes and they would appear across all three versions.

Lately I am noticing that a lot of notes and highlights are not appearing in the other versions.

What am I missing?

In order to answer, we need to know which Bibles as not all Bible support the corresponding feature. However, if you mean reference notes which can appear across any Bible, then we need an example Note to verify that it is a note by reference not by selection.

Putting this in general rather than Logos 9 desktop or Logos 9 mobile ... or wherever it belongs may result in incorrect answers to please specify desktop/mobile and operating system in your response.

I have been doing this for years. I had to go through everything I had to find the Bibles this would work with. And it's has worked fine for years. Now I'm seeing more and more places where it's not working.

I've just tried to replicate your setup and have created different coloured highlights in each resource - and the corresponding highlights are shown in the others.

Assuming this is what you are trying to achieve, please verify both the Notes and highlights and Notes and highlights (corresponding) sections of the resource visual filter are enabled for all three resources.

I suspect that you are seeing "spotty corresponding notes" where the texts of the LXX and the Masoretic differ in sequence or presence of text.

Like I said, I have been doing this for years. Now I'm seeing a problem. I wrote to the forums some time ago when I first starting doing this, and you guys (I use that generically) helped me find the right resources.

nah, this is happening way too often. Right now I'm reading in Psalm 107. In English verse one is highlighted and underlined. Not so the greek and Hebrew. I have a note on a word in verse 2 in English. Doesn't show up in Greek and Hebrew. Verse 6 is highlighted in all Bibles. Verse 8 is highlighted and underlined in English. Nothing in Greek and Hebrews. There is a note on a word in the English Bible. Nothing in Greek and Hebrew.

Verse 9 has a note on a word in all three Bibles

Verse 13 is highlighted in all three Bibles, but vv. 10,11 only in English

Larry, my tip for you would be to check that not only the checkboxes as shown in Graham's screenshot above are marked, but all checkboxes below = all notebooks in all the bibles as notes/highlights and as corresponding notes/highlights. And the same for the Visual filters (some like the kardia etc lemmas in your first screenshot seem to be VFs rather than highlights).

I think Mick's suggestion is a great one.

It is possible that different notes and highlights are going into different notebooks and not all of them are enabled in each of your resources.

Deprecated resources have issues that will not be fixed. Earlier in thread => BHS and BHW is reply by Vincent Setterholm with Faithlife recommendation (was an employee in 2014) about Lexham Hebrew Bible (LHB)

All the old Westminster editions with the file names BHSWTSxx can be hidden, the BHW replaces all of them.

Personally, I'd love it if everyone used LHB as their go-to Hebrew Bible, because I'd like to gather as much feedback on that edition as possible, since that's the one we can improve in house. There's another, perhaps more compelling, reason to do with pronominal suffixes (see below). In terms of searching, one major feature LHB currently has that BHW does not is searching on roots (in addition to lemmas), though BHW tags some morph features that LHB does not (like more particular tagging of the volitives for form vs. function). LHB has a slightly fuller treatment of Kethiv-Qere in that it includes the hybrid form with the consonants of the K and the vowels of the Q. (That was something we added to one older edition of the Westminster database, but probably shouldn't have - it wasn't part of their data and they got typo reports for a couple of my mistakes!)

BHW and BHS SESB currently treat pronominal suffixes in the same 'segment' as the word they are attached to, and then have the suffix information tacked on to the end of the morph code. While LHB, AFAT and BHS/WIVU all split the pronominal suffixes out into separate segments. So if you're using only BHS SESB or BHW, you're going to miss out on some of our in-house data work that involves hanging data on individual segments. For example, we've done work disambiguating pronouns by tagging their referent (e.g. where 'him' or 'his' = Moses in some particular instance). You'll miss out on some of that context-sensitive information that comes not from the Hebrew Bible itself, but from our in-house ancillary databases, when you're working with databases that segment the text very differently than the LHB and AFAT. And this, then, is also a reason why one might keep BHS/WIVU around even if one had BHS/SESB - assuming BHS/WIVU gets an update at some point.

NASB95 & LXX Swete have Reverse Interlinear alignment with LHB using Logos Hebrew Morphology. Thankful for LHB being enhanced for Clause Searching, which cannot be done using a different Hebrew Bible.

Thank you. I have other Hebrew Bibles, but I like this one the best.

Why? It has notes throughout of all the differences between other translations, variant and suggested readings, K and Q. I use them constantly.

But like I said, all this was working fine and then I started having problems. Maybe it is a Logos 9 glitch.

Have you checked all of your notebooks are enabled in the Notes and Corresponding Notes sections?
