Pasting Scripture into Pages on Mac

I have a question. I consistently copy and then paste into Pages various Scripture passages...and it's a bit of a guessing game as to whether it will paste with the superscript of the verses intact or not formatted. Any idea why? It's not a huge deal, but I like the verse references to stay in superscript - and so quite often I have to move it that way. 

I've checked some of the older posts that are related, but they don't seem to answer this question. Thanks. 

I use Logos 9.3.0.0052

My Mac is fully up to date, as is Pages.

No, but how do you "copy"? Do you have the selection menu as shown here? 

When I click on the "styled" button, I get what I think you want consistently.
