How to ignore hyperlinks from reftagging?

Hi, I'm using Mediawiki with the German reftagger.

Sometimes I have article names like:

interpretation of John 3

When I make hyperlinks to such a page, it will be reftagged, and the click on it leads me to the faithlife bible, instead to the article.

Is there a way to prohibit reftagging in such cases?

https://faithlife.com/products/reftagger/customize at the bottom is Advanced Settings, then Edit settings. You can specify tags and classes to exclude.

That adds code to the script as example below after the bible version,

noSearchClassNames: ["no-reftagger"],
            noSearchTagNames: ["h4"],            

This might work with the German version? Maybe you can add the class mediawiki for links, or tag, I am not familiar with how much control you have in mediawiki.
