Show Custom Highlights in Selection Popup Menus

I make extensive use of custom highlights. I have noticed that the colors for those highlights do not show up in the popup menu when selecting text. The thumbnail version of the highlight options I mean. This is also true of how highlights display in notes. If you use custom, they just show as generic blank thumbnails. Make sense? Is there a way to fix this?
