Searching for information about couches/beds in ancient Israel - resource suggestions

So, during our family Bible reading time tonight, my kids asked what couches, beds, and pillows were made of during the days of the monarchy.  Specifically, they were wanting to know what the pillows, cushions, etc were stuffed with.  Any suggestions on resources that may help?  I'm not sure if I've got anything that would be helpful in this situation (I've got the Bible Study base, plus a few other resources [mostly commentaries] that I've purchased since).  A basic search for "bed" obviously got far too many hits to be of much use.  Biblical things has some somewhat helpful pictures, but that's about it.  Help!  Leave it to my 7 and 10 year old to come up with a question that I can't figure out how to search Logos for an answer for Stick out tongue

EDIT - for further clarification, I'm looking more for information about the furniture of the wealthy and royalty, etc...not for information regarding sleeping mats and such.

Aha! Nevermind, I found an entry in New Manners and Customs of the Bible (I found it by searching for bed NEAR stuffed [:)])  Suggestions still welcome though [:)]

    Ron,

Check out some of your Bible dictionaries under "furniture".

Moving from dictionary to dictionary (via left and right arrow keys) will show you other similar articles.

If you have them, I would suggest (in no particular order)

    • The Archaeological Encyclopedia of the Holy Land
    • Baker encyclopedia of the Bible
    • Holman Illustrated Bible Dictionary

Hmm Sarcasm is my love language. Obviously I love you.

Thanks Thomas.  I'm not sure I have any of those, but I'll check them out.  I think I only have two Bible dictionaries (Eastman and something else), so I'll check the furniture entries in those.  Thanks!

I also have found  New Manners and Customs of the Bible very helpful.
